Just thought I would give my opinion of "splitfire" plugs. I am an ASE certified master mechanic (cars) 15 years, and have taken more Splitfire plugs OUT to solve problems than I have ever put in. One of my customers had some put in on her brand new engine replacement and the center electrode came OFF destroying the valve seat and piston in that cylinder!!!
I have never tried one in my bikes (for many reasons) so I can't comment on the effectiveness of them in motorcycles but I felt compelled to warn you about my experiences with them. Also the advertising seems to imply that there are two flame fronts being generated at each spark but as GP so elequently explained that cannot happen as electricity will always take the path of least resistance to ground and there can't be two paths. For what its worth. P.S. there are as many opinions as there are mechanics.
